Weather policy

Your safety comes first. Here's how we decide when it's safe to go out, and what happens to your booking when it isn't.

Closed for the season

Closed, we reopen on Tuesday 1 June 2027.

How we decide

A week ahead

We follow the forecast up to 7 days ahead. That's why online booking opens just 7 days in advance: it keeps cancellations and changes to a minimum.

All day long

We keep watching the wind and the waves from the beach, because sea conditions can change quickly.

Our team has the final say

On the day, the team on the beach decides whether it's safe to go out. Please follow their instructions on the beach and on the water.

If the weather turns

What happens to your booking when the sea isn't safe.

If we cancel because of the weather

Forecasts aren't an exact science, and sometimes the weather catches us out. If we have to stop rentals on a day you've booked, you choose: move your booking to another time, or get a full refund.

Some boats may be paused

Some boats need calmer water than others. On a windy day we may stop the stand-up paddle boards but keep kayaks or pedal boats running. If yours is paused, we'll offer you a different boat, a new time or a refund.

If the wind picks up while you're out

If you can't control your boat, our support boat will help you to an area that's always sheltered from the wind. Because we always have a solution for boats already on the water, we don't refund time you haven't used.

If you'd rather not go

If we consider conditions safe and you'd prefer not to go out, our normal cancellation policy applies: the booking isn't refunded, but you can move it to another time for free.

How we'll let you know

We contact you as early as possible by phone, WhatsApp or email, using the details on your booking. Closed days also show as a notice at the top of our Home and Book pages.

Not sure about today's conditions?

Message us on WhatsApp or give us a call before you come, and we'll tell you how the sea looks.
